My Story
I’m a 38 year old wife, mom & Scentsy Super Star Director. Kyle and I have been married for 18 years and have three beautiful children. McKenna is 14, Teegan is 12 & Karter is 10. I joined November 30, 2009 and my life was changed FOREVER.
I was first approached about joining Scentsy and I really didn’t want to “sell” anything because I just am not a good salesperson. I figured it was just like my old job where I would have to cold call and become pushy. So not me!! BUT once I recieved my very first warmer and bars, I was hooked. I had to have it; I NEEDED my entire home to be filled with this awesome product. When I lost my dad to leukemia, I needed something to keep my mind busy and to force my focus onto something other than the overwhelming grief I was feeling. I was so shattered by this loss and so I decided that finding a hobby would be in my best interest. My husband rolled his eyes because I am a hobby addict and start lots of different projects and rarely finish. So he figured it would be like all the rest. I really just wanted to feed my newly found addiction and to share with all of my family and friends. But once I started sharing this amazing product with those I loved that was all I needed to realize I was onto something, something bigger than all of us. It took actually DOING it for me to see it and believe it. At that moment I was determined to get everyone I could to see what I saw and do what I had fallen in love with.
I’m a passionate person and once I find something I love I share it! The thing is, I don’t have a college degree. Once Kyle and I started a family, my hopes/dreams had to go on the backburner so I could be the stay at home mom I always dreamed of being. But Scentsy, WOW, Scentsy has changed my life. I know that sounds cliché’ but it is so true! I finally found something I was good at besides being a mom, something that I could share with confidence, pride and passion AND make some extra money. I didn’t expect much from this, other than being able to share and enjoy this product. I didn’t expect to make as many lifelong friendships as I’ve made. I didn’t expect to have most all of my friends join me on this journey all because I shared with them and I asked. I didn’t expect to be able to actually bring home a very stable income that would help my family. I didn’t expect to get to travel, earn trips and be successful. But all of this came true for me. With hard work, tons of DETERMINATION, supportive friends and a strong faith, I have exceeded my own expectations and soared above my dreams with this one blessing I call Scentsy.
I’m so grateful to all of my supportive family and friends for trusting me enough to help support this business and for joining me on this wonderfully blessed journey.
I can’t express enough to everyone in my path what this business means to me. Every day I live and breathe Scentsy and I’m satisfied and honored in every way to be able to do what I love, share my passion, have a career that’s just for ME, and make a living that helps my family. All while doing what I love and being happy!
I have discovered confidence in myself, the ability to trust my instincts and follow my dreams even when I was afraid of failure and to be able to set goals and REACH THEM! That is huge for me. I never felt I was good at anything so to be recognized and to have people look up to me and commend me for doing these things has literally changed my entire perspective on life. This blessing has shattered my low self-esteem and helped me discover a faith in myself that I had always sought after.
The friendships I had in place became stronger because of Scentsy. Some of my best friends are in this with me, together forever! The bond grew stronger and stronger. My closest friends became closer. Too many blessings in the form of friendships to mention but you know who you are!
I have seen so many things, been so many places and felt so many varieties of elation that I can’t wait every day, every week and every month to see what’s next!!!
